The Catholic Parish of Holy Family
The Covid Epidemic really spiked the organisation of our efforts, and we need to regroup and consider supporting what has kept going, resurrecting what we can and making new starts where possible.
Much has changed in our country and in our world since we last met formally in January 2020 and the issues of Justice and Peace are more to the fore. There is more war, more inequality and poverty, continuing natural disasters and a real need for more response from the Christian community.
The main topics on which we previously worked before Covid were :- Foodbank, Fair Trade, The Homeless, Pact (Prisoners Advice and Care Trust), Guayaquil (A project for that city in Ecuador), The Environment, Christmas Cards.
There is plenty of good work going on in the Parish, including some new things which need promotion and support. We need to meet to look at what we must prioritise and decide what we can do to take this forward there will be a meeting in the parish room at 7.00 pm on Thursday 10th of November. All are welcome.
