KEEPING THE SANCTUARY CLEAN
The Sanctuary, which is the area of the church in front of the Tabernacle where the Lord dwells among us and the area around the altar and the lecterns, is sacred space. We try to keep it as clean and as tidy as possible, as a prayer in itself and also as a mark of its importance. It is a carpeted area which inevitably overtime becomes stained. It has just been cleaned which has taken some of the stains away. Thank you to everybody who had the privilege of stepping onto the sanctuary, and who removed their shoes in wet weather, to avoid staining the carpet. I have put a number small carpets over the main carpet in places where there is most traffic. This should mean there will be no more need to remove shoes! We can keep our toes nice and warm!
