The Catholic Parish of Holy Family
This week is the most important week in the whole year. By the power and grace of God in our acts of liturgy this week, we are able to be alongside the Lord Jesus, receiving his loving victory over sin and death. On Holy Thursday, we can be seated at the table in the Upper Room, as he celebrates the first holy Mass and gives us this banquet of his saving love for our journey through this world and then shows us how to love. We can join him in prayer, in the Garden of Gethsemane, as he faces the suffering to come. On Good Friday, we can stand at the foot of the Cross with his mother and faithful friends, as he pours out his life in saving love for you and I. At the Easter Vigil and first holy Mass of Easter, on Saturday evening, the most important and beautiful and inspiring liturgical act of worship, each year, the light of Heaven shines on us, as he rises from the dead.
Please come to all these Services and make this a ‘holy week’, in truth and reality. You won’t regret doing so and you then you will be ready for whatever difficulty and struggle comes your way.
